The Chasseron along the ridge

The forests and meadows of the Balcon du Jura Vaudois are ideal for hiking tours with a surprising variety of flora and fauna along the way. At the summit of the Chasseron there's a magnificent panoramic view. You can also benefit from the exceptional earth energies emitted in the area (Information pamphlet available at the tourist office).

On leaving the Protestant church at Ste-Croix, follow the yellow signs indicating the way to the Chasseron. Once you arrive at Praises, branch off to the right, continue past La Casba (snack bar - restaurant) and on towards Les Avattes (chalet - restaurant). Behind the restaurant you have to climb to get to the path along the ridge. Follow this path to the Chasseron hotel-restaurant. About 100 metres before the restaurant you will come across the Peace Stone which indicates a site charged with exceptional earth energy. To return to Les Rasses follow the yellow marked track. From here it is then possible to return to Sainte-Croix by bus, using the TRAVYS line Les Rasses -Sainte-Croix.
